The Langtang Gosainkunda Lake Trek is an epic journey through the Langtang Valley, a region of stunning natural beauty, spiritual significance, and rich culture. Starting from Kathmandu, your adventure begins with a scenic drive to Syabrubesi (1,460m), a village nestled in the foothills of the Langtang range. After arriving in Syabrubesi, you’ll begin your trek towards Lama Hotel (2,500m), passing through lush forests of bamboo and rhododendron and witnessing the first of many awe-inspiring mountain vistas.
On Day 2, the trek continues towards Langtang Village (3,400m), the largest settlement in the Langtang Valley. As you ascend, the landscape transforms into a high-altitude valley surrounded by towering peaks, including Langtang Lirung. In Langtang Village, you’ll have the chance to explore the traditional Tamang culture and sample local food before moving on.
From Langtang, you’ll trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,800m), a spiritual hub for Buddhists, where you can visit the Kyanjin Monastery and explore the stunning surroundings. From here, an exciting adventure awaits as you continue toward Tserko Ri (5,000m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the Langtang glacier.
